This video is #5 in the Series about designing with Ai;
This clip has the most action-oriented chase scene in the series, and was one of the hardest and most complex to prompt. It required that I create a long list of objects including the entire MALL and its highly detailed storefronts including signage for the grocer, pharmacy, hospital and mortuary, both vehicles – the semi and trailer, plus three versions of the pickup.
A CAUTION; This clip has references to self-harm and contains a very strong political message that I explain in detail. Messaging behind imagery is important…
I manually created two versions of the shark – before and after it scraped through the debris, plus the shrieking woman, all the sugary ads, the seagulls, cereal boxes, trees and the ocean. I also had to create the octopus, and the pickup driver from scratch (a loose facsimile of me). Notice the fluidity of the octopus. Details like this don’t happen by accident and were painstakingly manually illustrated and prompted to make it look real. The same with the driver, although the driver was a little tougher because I had to go through a series of steps through different Ai apps to incorporate a real photo of me. Every single large and small detail had to be manually created in depth before it was handed off via prompts to the Ai machine.

I also manually created and edited the audio tracks because Ai could not deliver consistent results in a way that was realistic. In the end it was much faster to do many things manually, but I can see that improving over time.
You can try to have Ai do all of this for you, in fact they encourage it, but I guarantee you’ll end up with pure slop that makes no sense to a human, not even the geeks who coded it.
The clip depicts a GREAT WHITE SHARK chasing a farmer in a pickup truck loaded with fresh farm vegetables. A bull-whipping OCTOPUS with massive personality is perched in the bed of the pickup as it races past the FOODLOT UPF ChemFood Grocer, and features the destruction of a storefront bedazzled with ads for sugary cereals targeting kids.
The clip opens with the words BRAINS over BRAWN to illustrate to FOOD CONSUMERS and farmers that you don’t need to be big to win a food war. You just need to be smart.
The clips starts with an octopus, OctoP using it’s arms as bullwhips to keep the shark at bay. The pickup, through the magic of Ai morphs from a very cool turquoise hot rod into a farm truck emblazoned with an octopus motif and a surreal live OCTOPUS that rides in the bed like a guard dog protecting its turf.

Not only is OctoP well trained to defend wholesome food, the driver, which is a loose facsimile of me – except he’s younger, more athletic, and a great driver who knows how to manage oversteer during a chase 😉 You might think that Ai knows how to do this automatically, but the reality is that you have to teach it every single move or it goes off the rails and turns your surreal fantasy into infamous slop.
Ai is still at a stage where it can’t be trusted to follow a prompt accurately, but it is getting better. The truth, is that Ai isn’t as easy as Ai wants you to believe. You still need advanced writing, graphic design, and video editing skills to keep it under control, and it will fight you at every turn unless your prompt is insanely precise.
In this short clip the shark chases the pickup truck in circles around the parking lot with tires screeching and sparks flying. The pickup driver BAITS the SHARK to follow it down the sidewalk between the FOODLOT storefront and the semi-truck from which the shark was just so spectacularly birthed. The driver (that’s me 😉 knows the truck will slip through the narrow space, but the shark is simply too large and greedy, and will try.
If you watch carefully, just before the shark follows the pickup down the sidewalk you’ll see a quick shot of the MORTUARY in the background. It’s so fast that if you’re not looking, you might miss it, which is the point. I was very careful not to jump the shark and make the morgue and cemetary too big of an event.

In communication, OVERKILL is often cited as the reason people look away. I knew from experience that I’d have dramatically better results if I just planted the seeds and let the consumer fill in the details.
Speculation is an incredibly powerful device!
I’ve been a professional corporate activist since 2003, and learned early while battling with adversaries like the International Olympic Committee and Fisheries, that how you set up a message is directly related to how well the viewer, CONSUMERS in this case, will absorb and REMEMBER IT!
MEMORABILITY is the goal, so anything you can do to indelibly etch your message into the minds of consumers is fair game. When hunting for prey, especially Great White Sharks, you have to know where and when to fish, and to also use the right bait.
In our case with FOOD LAND SHARKS, we focus on their massive egos, and revenue streams to lure them into situations and conversations they can’t possibly win. It’s not as hard as you might think when you consider that many of these leaders are neurodivergent, and they have very specific behavioral traits that can be leveraged. I’m not about to give away proprietary secrets because SURPRISE is a main tool for ACTIVISTS, but… SHARKS ARE ALL GREEDY, and if you know how to PUSH their PROFIT BUTTON, you’re half way home.
Almost every farmer I’ve ever advised over the years always starts with: YOU CAN’T FIGHT CITY HALL.
Speak for yourself OLD MacDonald.
A defeatist attitude is why you HAD a farm.
I’m being a facetious of course; Farmers feel abused because they’ve been tricked, abused, and CONDITIONED so many times by big corporations, governments, and also the associations and organisations they trust, that they have almost given up, especially in America.
Farmers have been used as sacrificial lambs for such a long time that in America, farmers die by suicide at a rate that is three and a half times greater than the general population.
Does this statistic resonate?

Let me repeat it more clearly for agricultural managers and executives that control farmers’ livelihoods; FARMERS KILL THEMSELVES at a rate 3.5 times GREATER than everyone else you know. Farmers hold the record for self harm. How do you sleep at night? If you really want to make America great again, maybe FOOD MARKETING ORGS should start with farmers who grow the food that makes CONSUMERS so ill that… 1,878 typical food shoppers DIE EVERY SINGLE DAY OF CANCER, STROKES, AND HEART ATTACKS from chronic disease caused by eating bad food purchased over the long term at BIG BOX FOODLOTS.

Is that clear enough? Don’t you think that just the fact that farmers know they harm society, that it also harms their emotional being? If you position yourself on social media as an agricultural thought leader, how come you don’t share data like this regularly?
Part of the reason is that if you accept government subsidies, in most cases, legally you can’t talk about this type of issue publicly.
Also, if you do, you’ll be bullied by your own chemical community who will claim, WHY WHY WHY do you keep bringing suicide up like it’s important? Can’t you see how talking about farm suicide is so painful for the families?
If you think suicide is painful for the families left behind, just imagine how much it hurt the farmer?
As the GREAT WHITE is lured into the trap, copy fades in;
Japanese fighters call it SEIRYOKU-ZENYO…
I call it LEVERAGING.

It means to use an opponent’s weight, inertia, and momentum against them.

For CONTEXT: I wrote a successful activism book way back in 2003.
LEVERAGE OLYMPIC MOMENTUM taught small and mid-sized local companies how to survive in Olympic regions when the Games came to their towns.
My book and blog were so successful companies like lululemon and Scotiabank copied my strategies almost to the letter.
The CBC also liked my ideas so much they did a national news series with me for several months that showed small business owners how to hijack the corporate message and leverage it for their use. I’m now writing Leverage ORGANIC Momentum and using ORGANIC+plus as the core principle for AFFORDABLE HEALTHY FOOD as MEDICINE.
I’ve had several meetings with organic leaders over the last year, and when I mention I’m writing Leverage ORGANIC Momentum, they get giddy thinking, “Oh, that’s a great idea” until they realise I work for CONSUMERS *FIRST and FARMERS second, and not their organisation. As the meeting progresses and it sinks in, their tone changes.
I advocate that LOCAL ORGANIC+plus Farmers DO NOT have to be CERTIFIED when consumers know and trust them, which is a completely foreign and frightening idea to agricultural associations and organisations who have farmers trapped in a subsidy loop that is now spiralling farms into the ground.
I’ve carefully researched and studied dozens of American farmers who have done this and have served CONSUMERS very effectively for several years. I reverse-engineered everything farmers did and do, and now reformat it for farmers in all regions. Drawing from my experience, and with a little LOCAL TWEAKING it works perfectly.
Even though HEALTHY FOOD has become popular almost overnight, and that CONSUMERS desperately want more, the number of farmers who choose to NOT remain, or become certified organic has dropped considerably. Farmers lost faith in organisations they thought they could trust and are no longer willing to pay for expensive certifications they no longer need.
Organic orgs have big ideas (don’t we all), but no money because they failed to plan properly, which means farmers are for the most part on their own.
FARMERS HAVE ALSO BECOME THE BAD GUYS, which is partially true, but the whole truth is, farmers are not the enemy the way CONSUMERS think. Farmers are trapped just like consumers, and the reality is that it is exactly how big corporations and governments want it.
In the clip, when the woman holding grocery bags shrieks as the shark is fooled into destroying the front of its own store and the semi-truck, her voice puts a fine point on what an activist can do if they use brains over brawn.
You can fight city hall, and WIN…
I BEAT CITY HALL for the first time over two decades ago, and also more recently when I exposed that the fisheries industry was doing to fishers what is happening to farmers. I exposed fisheries leaders first on social media, and then took them to court, sued them, and won. It’s not as hard as you think if you’re organised.
In my FIRST activism campaign over twenty years ago I exposed the IOC, International Olympic Committee, one of the most recognised brands in the world, and also three levels of government in as many countries – municipal, provincial/state, and federal in United States, Canada, and Switzerland.
FOOD CONSUMERS & FARMERS can do it too if you work together… and it’s where Ai steps up.
Artificial intelligence makes it relatively easy to organise against corruption and bullying by corporations and governments, and it’s why so many LAND SHARKS argue against Ai. They can see themselves being targeted, and it’s causing widespread panic.
The copy in the clip continues with:
I wrote a book about it to help anyone compete with SHARKS.
Start by THROWING SHARKS off-balance by using the right BAIT, at the right TIME, in the right PLACE.
When you do it right, SHARKS can be tricked into eating their own young.

The clip then shows the storefront and semi-truck destruction once more without distraction to give CONSUMERS something memorable to think about the next time they put bad food in their mouth. I want consumers to think before they swallow, and for farmers to appreciate their contribution to the health of their customers.
