Shannkar Mridha, Chief Believer and CEO of Jumbish Creations, located a couple of hours outside of Mumbai in India, helped us celebrate International Artist Day this year. Jumbish hosted webinars, live seminars, and workshops for local artists.
One of Shankar’s interesting products for artists and collectors is JDAT – Jumbish Digital Authentication Tag. When it is attached to the back of a painting JDAT provides secure information to authenticate the artwork. It removes the need for a paper-based certificate, which is difficult to manage and often gets lost in the lifetime of the painting.
Using IoT / Internet of things, Blockchain, and AI / Artificial Intelligence, JDAT is designed to solve art marketing challenges like piracy of paintings and royalty issues for painters.
The JDAT tag is glued to the back of a painting. It is flexible, impossible to remove, has 128 bit encryption with private & public key, factory written unique ID, and is temperature, chemical & moisture resistant.
On October 25th this I year I had a chance to do a Zoom interview with Shankar in India, and his partner Raul in San Miguel, Mexico City. We talked about artists and collectors, and about International Artist Day and how Jumbish helps us celebrate.
