International Artist Day
Celebrates 21 YEARS
October 25, 2025!
We’re expanding on our natural earth theme from last year to encapsulate sustenance… healthy food grown from healthy earth.
From today and through 2026, we’d love it if you’d imbue in your celebratory art with us the love affair we all have with healthy nutritious food, including and especially our relationships with our land’s caretakers who grow it for us locally.
How does food connect earth?
Interpret it any way that works for you artistically. Choose any style of art you like that supports a healthy planet and encourages people to have more care for what we grow and how we eat. We have to quit making ourselves ill.
Our subject in 2026 can range from organic food and regenerative agriculture, to protecting the oceans and forests and everything in between. It can run from abstract to political and beyond.
Over the last two decades we’ve seen all types of art from paintings to music videos, and performance art. Surprise us with something new, maybe in the digital realm.
If it’s natural and organic, we recommend you make it clear to viewers… always, everywhere and from now on.
If it’s Ai, can’t wait to see it, but please clearly identify it for viewers.
………….
Create a Happy International ARTIST DAY message and share it among your community. Tens of thousands of artists do it every year, so the more the merrier.
Your celebratory message can be any size analog or digital 2D/3D still imagery, animated, a photo, sculpture, food, drink, music, a video if you like, or a POEM, an NFT, and more! It can be Ai or EiEiEi 0 01 11 10 !
It could also be a SCHOOL or WORK TEAM PROJECT!
Feel Free use our new LOGO if you like

It’s TIME once again to celebrate all contributions artists make to society.
On October 25, if you know an artist, take them to lunch, or for a drink or a little herb, maybe even buy a piece of their heart. Go to a street gallery or online and find art for your wall, screen or ear, or for someone else, maybe a lover.
iAD founder and artist Chris MacClure, had an idea way back in 2004 to celebrate all the good things that artists do for society … and he launched International Artist Day!
Chris felt that artists were never recognized properly, and that a day honouring artists would remind everyone how we contribute to the betterment of humanity and the earth and universe. Chris is a talented canvas painter of the ROMANTIC REALISM persuasion.
I joined iAD in 2015 as a partner, and together we ramped it up and took International Artist Day to even more countries around the world. We evolved iAD in 2020 to iADX365 to reflect that we’re in the game every day of the year.
I’ve been a Fine Art photographer, designer, writer, and musician for decades, and explore new concepts daily. It’s not something I turn on or off. It’s always right there, skimming, on lurk mode 😉
Many think of iAD as a big team. We’re just three artists; Chris MacClure, Marylyn Hurst his wife (and a very talented painter too), and me, Maurice, plus of course many incredible volunteers at home and abroad.
We attract a very wide variety of art and artists to our iAD events around the world …
For the most part, Chris and I fund International Artist Day, except for big events where SPONSORS graciously help out. We don’t chase government art grants–it’s what separates us from most other art orgs. We’re FREE AGENTS 😊
Our loyalty is to artists, NOT politicians.
We appear big because we have a FOOTPRINT of hundreds of thousands of artists around the world. We’re grateful to, and LOVE all the international artists, art organizations, and art companies over the last two decades that have helped support our co-sponsored LIVE ART EVENTS & CELEBRATIONS; Van Gogh Vodka, OPUS Art Supplies, Northwest Artist’s Canvas, Buchanan Printing & Signs, Leed Advisors, 1st R.O.W. Estate Winery, Urban Art Custom Framing, Morley Myren Re/MAX, Fernandes Arneill Wealth Management, HALEY Dodge Chrysler, to name a few.
We also love all the art-friendly BIG companies that celebrate International Artist Day with us, like Cirque de Soleil and Häagen-Dazs ice cream.
Way back in 2004 Chris and his wife Marilyn chose October 25 because it is the late Pablo Picasso’s birthdate–the modern pioneer of contemporary art.
Help us celebrate our 21st Anniversary on October 25th and let the world know of all the great things artists do to improve society.
