If you’re looking to win a $1Million in crypto or cash, or a hot new Lamborghini, or maybe a luxury home and a round-the-world trip, NFT might do it for you, but not without a lot of hard work and a little luck.
While you’re waiting to strike it NFT RICH, show us the good stuff you’ve been working on so we can share it with our KARMIC SWAG community.
It does NOT have to be NFT related!
If you, as an artist, or your art project, or maybe your art company, create art that celebrates life and societies everywhere, and your art actually does something good for humanity and the world, show us your stuff.
We’d like to acknowledge you, and also give you a nod and modest award – no Lambos though, sorry, maybe next year. Our gift to you is exposure in our community on our homepage roll–valued at $1,000 if you had to buy it!
If you’re chosen, we’ll showcase you on iADX365.com.
A dozen artists and projects will be FEATURED in our first ever Karmic Swag online awards event. We’ll give you space on our homepage MAIN ROLL and our Twitter feed to tell your story. It’s an opportunity to introduce yourself and your art, and maybe even your ideas to save the world! Truth be told, you don’t have to save anything, but if it’s part of how you roll, you’ll have our attention.
Our mandate and slogan at International Artist Day, from the first day iAD founder, and painter Chris MacClure launched iAD in 2004 is;
“To celebrate the contributions artists make to society.”
It’s pretty simple, and we’ve been doing it ever since in countries all over the world.
“We”, constitutes my business partner Chris, and me, Maurice-at left. I’m a large format film photographer and digital artist.
We live on the shores of the pacific in Canada in a small seaside community near Vancouver BC.
“We” is also a small group of very loyal volunteers, locally and internationally who over the years helped create what you see today.
Many assume Chris and I are high rollers just by our smiles😃 😃 haha, we’re not … we’re artists. We’re dedicated though and represent all types of artist and styles of art including visual, performance, literary and everything between and beyond IRL and the metaverse.
Pre 2020, we mostly operated virtually around the world with artists and art orgs that produced art events in real life. We lent them our iAD logo and brand to use, and freely gave them advice and support about how to produce and promote live art events big and small in places like Shediac NB, Barcelona Spain, Saudi Arabia, Assam India, Charleston SC, White Rock BC plus thousands of other big cities and small towns around the world. We helped promote their events through our communities just like we’d like to help promote you.
Today we spend a lot of time exploring and experimenting in the metaverse with digital and NFT art concepts. We haven’t forgotten our roots though and work with traditional artists who still, and have always, created physical art, plus, legacy artists who want to evolve into digital and NFT.
Karmic Swag is for everyone, not just NFT projects.
We also work with experienced digital artists who want to learn how to raise their visibility and credibility in the metaverse. It’s competitive out there!
Karmic Swag is a simple challenge considering that there are so many great causes to develop and support that are beneficial to society. You have so many options that we’re not going to give you even a hint as to direction. As long as your art helps improve society and our world and people’s lives, we’re interested. Dark, dystopian, aggressive and tragic stuff probably won’t make the cut though unless Chris and I feel that the moral of the story far outweighs the execution.
We’re really interested in art that is positive right out of the gate. It needs a real story/campaign or theme behind it, and not something tacked on after-the-fact. The genuine story part is critical. Pretty pictures are pretty, but we’re also looking for a message that is more than in inch deep. You’ll know it when you see it, and so will we and our audience. The imagery has to do all the talking, but a succinct title and a few words are also a good idea.
This first year, our inaugural Karmic Swag 2021 event, we’re mostly looking for art projects and artists who are already in the house and already doing this good-for-society stuff. We announced the event on September 20, 2021, and the DEADLINE is just over a month away on October 25–not a lot of time.
2022 will be different. Artists will be able to take the whole year to plan, and by that time we’ll have sponsors and a bit of crypto to really blow it out. This year, it’s been incredibly hard for almost everyone. Consequently, we feel compelled to acknowledge you NOW, and say thank you right NOW even though we don’t have our sponsors in place. The pandemic has been a challenge for us too.
On Twitter, we’ll acknowledge everyone appropriate who reaches out, but only feature the twelve artists and/or art projects that Chris and I think stand out.
Here’s how to connect with us regarding Karmic Swag Art;
