Food is art. Art is food.
The medium doesn’t really matter when all the ingredients come together in a way that arouses. In 1909, Filippo Tommaso Marinetti was the first artist in the modern era to regard food as art, and the trend is even stronger today. In 1932 Marinetti published his provocative and whimsical manifesto, The Futurist Cookbook.
Culinary creativity is soulfully special, and probably the best loved, but most misrepresented artistry of all time.
