We’re hoping you’ll join us in celebrating ALL the contributions artists bring to society!
INTERNATIONAL ARTIST DAY October 25 is here again!
If you’re an artist, create a HAPPY INTERNATIONAL ARTIST DAY greeting ART CARD and share it among your community. Tens of thousands of artists do it every year, so the more the merrier.
Your celebratory message can be any size analog or digital 2D/3D still imagery, animated, a photo, sculpture, food, drink, music, a video if you like, or a POEM, an NFT, and more! It can be Ai or EiEiEi 0 01 11 10 !
It could also be a SCHOOL or TEAM PROJECT! Blow us away!
The point is to DO IT, and celebrate the contributions artists make to society.
Follow us on TWITTER and tag your ART CARD too – #iADX365ART
If YOU don’t celebrate the contribution artists make, who will … politicians?
Feel Free use our new LOGO if you like
It’s TIME … to celebrate all the contributions artists make to society.
On October 25, if you know an artist, take them to lunch, or for a drink or puff, maybe even buy a piece of their heart. If you don’t happen to know an artist, poor you, seriously poor you. Go to a street gallery or online and find art for your wall, screen or ear, or for someone else, maybe a secret lover, and splurge a bit.
… whisper your ART KINK to me on Twitter and I’ll hook you up.
Listen to the vid play as you read …
Artist Chris MacClure, had an idea way back in 2004 to celebrate all the good things that artists do for society … and he launched International Artist Day!
Chris felt that artists were never recognised properly, and that a day honouring artists, would remind everyone how we contribute to the betterment of humanity and the earth and universe. Chris is a truly nice guy and a talented canvas painter of the ROMANTIC REALISM persuasion.
I joined iAD in 2015, and together we ramped it up and took International Artist Day to even more countries around the world. We evolved it in 2020 to iADX365 to reflect that we’re in the game every day of the year.
I’ve been a Fine Art photographer, designer, writer, and musician for decades, and still experiment with new art concepts every day!
As everyone knows, and is probably trying to forget, 2020 was brutal, and it took a major toll on all of us. Much of our work at iADX365 – The HOME of International Artist Day, is related to local LIVE ART EVENTS & FESTIVALS in art communities around the world.
When Covid locked everything down, we also struggled. We spent most of the year helping artists source government survival funding. We also quickly pivoted and started to rebuild our model.
Many people think we’re a big team. We’re not. We’re just three artists; Chris MacClure, Marylyn Hurst his wife (and a very talented painter too), and me, Maurice, plus of course many incredible volunteers at home and abroad.
For the most part, Chris and I fund International Artist Day, except for big events where SPONSORS graciously help out. We don’t chase government art grants–it’s what separates us from most other art orgs. We’re FREE AGENTS 😊
Our loyalty
is to artists,
NOT politicians.
We sometimes appear to be big because we have a FOOTPRINT of hundreds of thousands of FANS around the world. Without all the artists supporting us and INTERNATIONAL ARTIST DAY every day of the year, we’d never survive.
We’re grateful to and LOVE all the international artists, art organizations, and art companies that have helped support our co-sponsored LIVE ART EVENTS & CELEBRATIONS; Van Gogh Vodka, OPUS Art Supplies, Northwest Artist’s Canvas, Buchanan Printing & Signs, Leed Advisors, 1st R.O.W. Estate Winery, Urban Art Custom Framing, Morley Myren Re/MAX, Fernandes Arneill Wealth Management, HALEY Dodge Chrysler, to name a very few.
We also love all the art-friendly BIG companies that celebrate International Artist Day with us, like Cirque de Soleil and Häagen-Dazs ice cream.
Chris and Marilyn chose October 25 because it is the late Pablo Picasso’s birthdate–the modern pioneer of contemporary art.
Today … iADX365 has to evolve to a stronger SPONSORSHIP MODEL if we want to continue to promote and develop progressive ART concepts!
In better economic times we distributed CASH BURSURIES to Art Students in local high schools. Unfortunately, since the pandemic, we haven’t been able to continue delivering in this capacity–hopefully, soon again.
One of our saving graces over the last couple of years has been DIGITAL ART … NFT.
When art galleries locked-down, NFT jumped onto the stage. We created, bought, sold and promoted NFT, and wrote articles to help artists grow, and as importantly, to also protect artists from this new technology. In our small way, we helped advance the NFT and CRYPTO Art concept so it works for all styles of artists, including commercial and fine art, pros and part-timers. Some of our NFT followers have done exceedingly well, but the reality is that NFT is harder than most think, which means many artists also struggled, and still do.
We also support progressive contemporary ART GALLERIES that promote the evolution of all art styles. We talk more every day with traditional galleries about ways to incorporate NFT into their ecosystems and street networks.
Our focus is to develop relationships with PROGRESSIVE ART SPONSORS who are excited about working to bring traditional art together with digital visual art and music! There is no road where we’re going, IRL or virtual.
We want to collaborate with true visionaries.
As such … we have a PLOT TWIST !
We’re exploring ways with artists to combine VISUAL ART and MUSIC and CANNABIS … into a new *sensory experience that flows viscerally, intellectually, and spiritually.
Cannabis is a gateway to artistic creativity,
like meditation, visualization, dreaming et al.
We’re Canadian, and as you might know, cannabis is legal throughout our entire country–sea to shining seas. Artists in most western cultures have experimented with cannabis to connect visual art and music for a very long time. We’re about to take it to a new depth of transparency–a place you’ve never experienced.
